Meet Our Clinicians

Therapy Center of Houston

Meghan Johnson, MEd, LPC-A

Navigating life’s ups and downs can sometimes feel like a lot.  I believe that therapy is a wonderful tool to help us get through challenging times.  I aim to support and guide clients in exploring their emotions, behavior, and relationships in a safe and supportive environment.  Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, parenting issues, codependency, grief, or issues unique to the LGBTQIA+ community, we can work to find the healing, understanding, and acceptance that redefines our relationships with ourselves and with others.

As a mental health counselor, I offer a systemic approach that delves into the interconnectedness of your relationships, behaviors, and life choices.  Using the Gottman method, I specialize in working with couples, helping them navigate through conflicts, communication breakdowns, and intimacy issues.  With individual clients, I work from an internal family systems (IFS) framework, exploring the different parts within them to facilitate healing and personal growth.  My approach is holistic, not just focusing on symptom relief but on understanding the underlying dynamics that contribute to your challenges.

If you’re ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing, I invite you to reach out to me.  Together, we can work towards creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.  You deserve a life that is authentic, fulfilling, and in alignment with your true self, no matter how insurmountable your struggle may feel in this moment.
