I believe in using creativity to open doors and avenues for people to express themselves in ways they can’t imagine. I work with clients who have issues related to life transitions, codependency issues, trauma/PTSD (specifically medical trauma), anxiety, chronic pain/illness, social skills development, and obsessive-compulsive issues. My primary focus is working with older teens, young adults, adults, the elderly population as well as people with disabilities. As someone with a physical disability (a form of dwarfism), it is easy for me to empathize with my clients. The space I create is a non-judgmental space and I promote opportunities for my clients to feel comfortable being their most authentic selves.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, being supervised by Teri Marrow, Ph.D., LPC-S. I received my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas - Houston, and my BA in Psychology from Duke University.

I work from a cognitive behavioral lens, using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), where I focus on how one can accept thoughts and emotions as they come, learn to live in the present, and learn to be their true authentic self by understanding their values. I also utilize Gestalt Therapy techniques where I help clients be present in their bodies to be able to express their feelings and emotions, and finally bring in contemporary psychodynamic skills to focus on how the past affects our present moment, and how to learn to move forward in life.
