Cami Tisnabudi, Clinical Intern

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Trained Therapist

Every person has untapped potential, unrealized gifts and talents, and the capacity to heal and transform their lives and relationships. I help people feel better by tapping into their answers within, their strengths and abilities, and help them discover what’s at the core of their hurts, self-limiting behaviors and thoughts, and confusing relationships. I provide practical tools that help my clients function better in their daily life such as strategies for negative self-talk and core beliefs, relational skills, boundary setting, assertive communication, managing triggers and emotional dysregulation, and most of all, discovering their true Self!

My clients describe me as kind, patient, and intuitive. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, holistic and integrative, with humanistic and person-centered approaches as the foundation and drawing from existentialism, attachment, cognitive-behavior therapy and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (CBT/MBCT), and family systems theories. I use art, creativity, and movement as tools for self-exploration, regulation, and expression.

I have been working with individuals in occupational therapy for over twenty years in rehabilitation and long-term care settings. I have helped people walk through their physical, cognitive, and emotional limitations, held a lot of pain, and witnessed the extraordinary strength of the human spirit. I have worked with individuals of many different cultures, ages, socio-economic backgrounds, and life experiences. I have a B.A. in Psychology and currently working towards my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am supervised on-site by our Clinical Director, Sharon McLendon, LPC-S.

I am an artist, writer, and dancer. I enjoy Yoga, creative writing, being in nature, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I have done my own trauma work to get to where I am today which was the inspiration for me to go back to school to become a therapist.

I understand seeking help can be difficult. I am here to help you discover the core of your struggle and provide you with tools to function better in your daily life. Together we can work towards discovering your true self.
